-Dr Martinez grew up in central Florida. Her family fled Cuba when she was an infant. Her parents were language professors, and she attended Florida Southern College where her father taught.
-She attended the University of South Florida college of medicine in Tampa, then moved to Miami for her residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
-She was in private practice for many years in Miami until her daughter was grown and had graduated from college.
-She moved to Jacksonville in 2020 and has continued to practice outpatient pediatrics. . She joined North Florida Pediatrics in January 2024.
-Dr Martinez enjoys the diverse cultures in Jacksonville, and likes exploring local restaurants and museums, as well as the cooler weather that is ideal for walks with her toy poodle.
